Battlegrounds first person mode is here

Battlegrounds have so far been a mostly third person game since the advantages of it compared to first person is huge so it was never fun to play first person. Plus the fact that it was had many buggs and was not what you started out with when you first start a game. But today Battlegrounds have gotten a first person mode only and it is very fun to play, it still need some tweaking and bug fixing. This is a very good thing for the game since many have felt like it did not fit with third person so they rejected the game, it’s also good if you just want some variation from third person. The patch that this came with was on the otherside not that good since it’s very buggy and have some major server problems that need to get fixed and they probably will in the next weekly patch.

Battleground change ban system

Battlegrounds have been a hot topic for the last days because they reportly banned a streamsniper. Stream sniper is someone how watch someone stream and then tries to use the stream to know his position  to then easliy kill him. But Player unknown him-self went to twitter to clear things up and this was his statement:

Some people think that this should not even be a thing that should be banned since the streamer could delay the stream so that the person would have a hard time streamsniping. The have said that the maybe will change the system for banning. So stay tuned.

First person only mode to Battlegrounds

Battlegrounds has so far mainly been a third person game even thought you can choose to play in first person but it will put you at a disadvantage. But this has been kind of controversial decision since you can watch around cornors which isn’t that good for multiplayer shooters since the person that tries to be aggressive has the disadvantage which leads to a slow moving fight where no one wants to push. Third person usually is better for a story game where you won’t meet any online players. This situation is the same for a game such as Battlefront where the fights feels weird because both you know where the opponent is so you can just wait the other person out. But the Battlegrounds developers has heard the critics on this topic and will now introduce a first person only mode. The third person mode will stay so you can choose if you want to play first person or third person only. This should be a very good thing for the game since it has been needed for a while now. The thing that concerns me is that the first person mode at the moment is very clanky and feels unatural, so if they don’t improve the mecanices for first person it could be a bad experience. But overall this is positive and I will definetily test it.

54 Battlegrounds items datamined

When Battlegrounds new patch was released a few days ago there was as usual some people trying to dig out the hidden information. And this time around they might just have stepped on a gold mine. They found a whole lot of info about some cosmetics and other items. These items are obviously not confirmed and most likely all of them won’t be in the game but it sure is weird that they are placed in the game files if they wasn’t in development.

One of the most intresting items is a full body of armor that people are going crazy for right now. Some think this could be the level four armor that many have speculated in being added later on in the game.OWbVIGO.png

I think it would be fun to have a item like this that could appear in a dropbox and that it would give you really good amount of armor. I hope all of this items make it into the game as soon as possible.

Battlegrounds weekly update

Playunknowns battlegrounds is back with another weekly update i thought i could give you the list of whats fixed in the 15th weekly update:

General

  • They have now added SEA (Southeast Asia) server.

Client Performance

  • UI performance is improved.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused a character to walk through gas station wall.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a character to stand on top of a tunnel after getting out of motorbike inside of a tunnel.
  • You can no longer get out of a vehicle if the vehicle is blocked all the way around.
  • Fixed a bug that made a teammate’s weapon invisible in spectator mode
  • Fixed an issue of the scope crosshair appearing blurry when post-processing quality is set to high.
  • Adjusted GROZA rail to better fit Holographic Sight and Red Dot Sight.
  • Fixed a bug that caused ammo not to drop after dropping Extended Mag with full Backpack.
  • Vehicle tire effects will change immediately when the vehicle is on a different type of ground.

Battlegrounds new map

The huge success Battlegrounds has to this date only had one map. The map has taken place on a island with in kind of a forrest enviroment. But yesterday the creative director of the game gave us preview of the next map thet is on the way, and its a desert/ urban map which really should switch up the gameplay.

The map looks gorgeous and this part of the map looks very polished so maybe this could be coming out in the next monthly patch. It’s rumored to be a bit smaller than the original map but i guess it still is going to feel huge as usual.

 

Of course the speculations are going wild rigth now and people are coming up with all type of theories but one of the more disscussed theories are that the bike seen in the images below is going to be a new vehicle coming with the map, this would in my opinion be a really cool vehicle to have in the game and it could be a more common vehicles but also be alot slower than the car for example.DD0_vfHV0AAgrws

Personally i’m very exited for this map since if there is one thing this game lacks its maps and a urban enviroment would fit perfect in Battlegrounds. We will have to stay tuned for more updates on this and more, i sure will have you covered.

Battlegrounds update

Player unknowns battlegrounds is still in early access but is doing amazing with around 4 millions sales already and is one of the top streamed games on twitch. The game comes with weekly patches that usually fixes bugs and monthly patches that add new weapons and other items in game and today we will look at whats added to the game in the june monthly patch: 

 

Server Fix

  • Improves the network performance by reducing the amount of data being sent from the server to the client.
  • Reduced network lag by preventing a large amount of data being sent from the server to the client simultaneously.

Client Performance

  • Fixed an issue of frame drop when other characters were around by optimizing nearby characters.
  • Fixed an issue of frame drop when vehicles were around by optimizing vehicles.
  • Optimized the starting airplane and Care Package airplanes.
  • Improved rendering performance of weapons from far-off.
  • Made improvements to the weapon animations.
  • Optimized many in-game effects, including the red zone bombing effect.
  • Improved many UI features.
  • Improved features regarding rainy weather.

New Items

  • Added Groza. Groza is an AR chambered for 7.62mm ammo, and can only be acquired in Care Packages.
  • Added P18C. P18C is a pistol chambered for 9mm ammo with a full auto fire-mode.

Gameplay

  • The Vector and UMP now support burst mode.
  • You can now pick up items while moving. The interaction animation will not force you to stop anymore, but make you walk slowly.
  • You may interact with doors, items, or vehicles while reloading. Reloads will be canceled with such interactions.
  • The screen will be gradually desaturated based on remaining health during the REVIVE state.
  • Blood effect does not appear during the REVIVE state anymore.
  • Adjusted kill count system in Duo and Squad modes. A person knocking an opponent out will receive a kill count regardless of the actual killer.
  • Adjusted F key (interaction) to prioritize the REVIVE action in certain cases
  • You can now pull out pistols faster.
  • Fire mode can no longer be switched during reload.
  • Adjusted the play area to spawn more evenly within a circle, so that the play area does not appear in the center so frequently.
  • Adjusted default quantity to be selected at 1 when pressing CTRL key at inventory to partially drop or pick up items.
  • Adjusted motorcycle and motorcycle with sidecar to move more smoothly.
  • You can no longer switch to/from prone while picking up items.
  • Red Dot Sight is now attachable to pistols, except for the revolver.
  • Increased the recoil on UMP.

World

  • Added two new weather settings: Sunset and Clear Skies.
  • Added destructible cabins.
  • Added new animation for when a character is at the speed of taking fall damage.

Items and Vehicles

  • Adjusted vehicles to face random directions at spawn.
  • Adjusted loot balance for certain items.
  • VSS will no longer be found in Care Packages. It will remain to be spawned in the map.
  • At a low probability, you will be able to acquire AR Silencers, SR Silencers, and 4x Scopes in Care Packages.
  • Spawn rate of UMP was slightly decreased.
  • Spawn rate of UZI was slightly increased.
  • Level 1 Helmet was being spawned at a much higher rate than the Level 1 Vest, and the spawn rate was adjusted so that both items will be spawned at a similar rate.
  • Increased spawn rate of items in regions and buildings with relatively low spawn rate.
  • Changed the names of certain weapon attachments.
  • Adjusted the spawn time of vehicles and speedboats, so that they can be seen from farther away.
  • Improved the starting airplanes.
  • Cargo door opens when participants get ejected from the airplane.
  • Optimized lighting inside and outside of the airplane.

UI

  • Adjusted the direction of teammate icons to the direction the teammate faces.
  • Added teammate list on World Map.
  • Improved character’s recoil animation.
  • Removed death marks of teammates after a certain period of time or distance away from the place of death.
  • Added three new languages: Thai, Indonesian, and Vietnamese.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue when the voice chat volume blasted momentarily after getting on an airplane.
  • Fixed an issue where the character was not at the center of the screen while on a parachute.
  • If you reload into game while in a parachute, you will still be in the parachute.
  • Prevented users from removing outer walls of buildings by deleting certain files.
  • Partially fixed a bug that caused a character to be stuck in terrain.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a character to be misplaced after getting in a vehicle.
  • Fixed a bug that caused effects to look identical underwater and outside of water.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a character to make an interaction motion trying to pick up an item when there is no inventory space.
  • Fixed a client crash that occurred when fences were destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue of invisible fences even after destruction.

 

As you can see it’s pretty many things that gets fixed for this patch and it should be a fun month for Battlegrounds

The update will go live june 29.
