Deathmatch is live on Overwatch

Some time ago Jeff Kaplan, one of the Overwatch devs, said that deathmatch never would come to Overwatch since Overwatch is a team base game. But now it seems like the changed their minds since they have launched two new game modes and one new map.

The game modes are Team deathmatch and Deathmatch, in Team Deathmatch you are on a four-man team and you need to kill the enemy teams player 30 times to win. In deathmatch there are 8 players killing eachother, if a player reaches 20 kills or time runs out the game ends. If you get to top 4 it counts as a win, and since it is a arcade mode it’s a good gamemode to get those weekly loot boxes. Deathmatch only have one map but its the new map: Château Guillard which is Widowmakers familys home/castle. The map is super fun to play on since it has some diffrent height levels and jumpads laying around the map. I highly recommed to test this new  content out if you havent since it’s really fun and to me brang new life to the arcade modes since i now thing it’s fun to get my loot boxes every week. Test it out since it out now.

Junkertown to Overwatch?

It just got leaked that there is a voice line saying “Welcome to Junkertown” it was datamined and is now most likely the next map we will get in Overwatch. Many people think it will be announced at Gamescom next week in company with a animated short film about Junkrat and his best friend Roadhog, and since we got Eichenwalde and the animated short film “The last Bastion” i dont think it’s a strectch to say that Junkertown and a animated short will arrive at Gamescom.

Overwatch summer games coming back

On August 8th Overwatch first event last year is coming back to the game and it has some new editions.

First of, you will be able to get the skins that came with the event last time for example the awsome Mccree flag skin or the tracer runner skins and they are at a discounted price so that more people will be able to get them and you will also be able to get 40 new items skins included that will match the events summer theme. Junkrat, Mercy, Mccree and Widowmaker are confirmed to have some cool skins coming up.

The much beloved Lucio-ball brawl will also make a return to the game but this time improved with some balance tweaking but also a new map in sydney aswell as a competetive gamemode that will run for three weeks so that you can earn some sprays. Some people didn’t want lucio-ball back but i think that this is a really good way of making as many people as possible happy since we have never seen something like this before in Overwatch.

I think that this event could be a really good hit or a flop since they have made some large changes but it could feel a but repetetive with the same things again. But we should wait until the event is out to give it a final verdict. It is what so ever intresting and im looking forward to it since i didn’t made it to the last years lucio-ball.

Junkrat rework soon?

Junkrat is one of those heroes where you you love the character so you start play him but then realize that he isn’t good enough to keep up in competitive so you start playing some one that is in the meta. But for those who do play Junkrat or want to play him there is some good news that just got realesed by the principal desinger on Overwatch, Jeff Goodman, said this “Currently on our internal builds, Junkrat has 2 charges of his Concussion Mine,” Goodman said. “This allows you  to do all kinds of cool stuff like launch yourself into a fight and still have a charge to escape with, or launch yourself up into a Pharah and still have a charge to try and kill her with.”

This obviously is some really good changes that most likely will make it into the game in some way. This would make Junkrat a more mobile hero that could get used even in competitive, but if they want him to have a chance to get into the meta I think they would have to put a higher speed to his “bomb-projectiles”, but this is a step in the right direction.

Fans want Netflix serie for Overwatch

Blizzard usually support their games in all types of ways if it so is free maps and heroes, events, comics or even animated short films. The fans love the way Overwatch has been supported so far and one of the things they like is the animated shorts they are so popular that fans have started to do their own films. The disscussion of a Netflix serie has been a hot topic among the fans but blizzard has not spoken about this at allso i would think they are having converstions with netflix about this, but it would be a expensive thing to do since it takes alot of time. But some of the animators on Blizzard has said that the best part of working on Overwatch has been the animated short films since they can tell the stories about the heroes and universe.

One fan could not stop himself and used the previous films to make a trailer for a Netflix series with Overwatch. You can watch the vidoe here.

I would watch the serie since I love the universe of Overwatch. Hopefully this will happend, but we will have to wait for more comments about this from the developers. Follow this blog to stay updated on this and the rest of the game world.

Overwatch: Doomfist is here (PTR)

One the most anticipated video game character in years, Doomfist, is finally revealed and is available the PTR (Test server). After the many teases we have got through out the year he is finally here and “boy” is he cool. Doomfist’s is a highly-mobile, powerful frontline melee hero. • Real Name: Akande Ogundimu, Age: 45
  • Occupation: Mercenary
  • Base of Operations: Oyo, Nigeria
  • Affiliation: Talon

“Recently freed from imprisonment, Doomfist is determined to plunge the world into a new conflict that he believes will make humanity stronger.

Akande Ogundimu was born into a well-regarded Nigerian family, heir to its prosthetic-technology company. A highly intelligent and charismatic figure, Ogundimu helped to expand his family’s business and position it for the future while dedicating his free time to his first love: competitive martial arts. He trained in traditional African fighting styles, including Dambe and Gidigbo, as well as in wrestling and other modern combat systems, incorporating the most effective techniques into his repertoire. Ogundimu competed in tournaments all over the continent, utilizing his intuition and ability to read opponents alongside his tremendous speed and strength.

But when he lost his right arm in the aftermath of the Omnic Crisis, it seemed his martial arts career was finished before he had reached his prime. His company’s cybernetic prosthetics allowed him to recover from his injuries, even making him stronger, but these enhancements rendered him ineligible for competition. He tried to devote himself to his business with the same zeal that he had for fighting, but he found nothing that could fill the void… until he was given a new opportunity by Akinjide Adeyemi, better known to the world as the second Doomfist, the Scourge of Numbani.

Adeyemi offered Ogundimu the chance to fight with him as a mercenary. Initially wary, Ogundimu accepted, and discovered that he now had an arena in which he could unleash his enhanced capabilities. Eventually, Adeyemi brought him into the Talon organization. Talon’s belief that humanity would be made stronger through conflict resonated with Ogundimu’s personal experiences. Moreover, Talon’s power struggles presented a new challenge that allowed him to use his talent in the boardroom along with his cunning as a combatant.

Adeyemi was a useful asset to Talon, but the organization saw far greater potential in Ogundimu, with his intelligence and his ability to inspire as a commander. While Adeyemi was content to profit from raids on Numbani, Ogundimu had a grander vision. This difference in aspiration would lead Ogundimu to kill his teacher and take on the mantle of Doomfist, along with the eponymous gauntlet.

As the new Doomfist, Ogundimu rose high in Talon and helped to orchestrate a conflict that the organization hoped would someday engulf the world. However, before their plan came to fruition, Ogundimu was defeated and captured by an Overwatch strike team that included Tracer, Winston, and Genji. He was imprisoned in a maximum-security facility for years, where he waited patiently for events he had incited to play out.

Finally, he sensed that the time had come for him to return. He broke out of his prison and recovered Doomfist’s gauntlet in a one-sided battle with Numbani’s newly unveiled OR15 defense robots. Now, he has retaken his place in Talon’s inner council, ready to spark a war that will consume the world once again.”

Creed to Overwatch website for the information.

I am very exited for Doomfist to come to the full game so that i can test him out since he seems like a very fun and unique hero. Follow this blog for more info on this and other gaming news.

Overwatch tease Doomfist

Overwatch has just teased a new hero on their twitter account. The much anticipated Doomfist has been talked about in a helix news article in the universe of Overwatch. people have also find in the code of overwatch that Doomfist is suppos1e to be the next hero and since we now got even more evidence the community is heating up for the characher that has been gently teased from the release of Overwatch and it semes like it’s finally time.

The beloved actor Terry Crews is rumord to be acting as Doomfist and that sure would be a press boost for Overwatch and Terry, it would also be the first time that we get a big actor to play one of the characters. It is still kind of unclear if Doomfist is a character or something you can capture and be while you have it but we will have to wait for the answer about that.

So what is new in this new tease? Well i will give you the whole story quoted from the Overwatch site

New Details Surface Following Major Security Breach

NUMBANI —Three months after initial reports of an incident at Helix Security International’s classified maximum security installation, a more complete picture of what happened has emerged. Information and details of what happened were scarce as has been any news from the installation, said to be a prison for the world’s most dangerous threats. However, after recent events in Numbani, it can now be confirmed that what occurred was an attack by the Talon organization with the express purpose of freeing one man: Akande Ogundimu, better known as Doomfist.

It began in the early hours of the morning, when an unidentified aircraft approached the facility. Security initially reported that the craft had no passengers on board, based on radar scans. The craft passed through the range of the installation’s defense systems without incident, leading some to believe that Talon has moles within Helix. Video surveillance from within the compound revealed a black shadowy figure emerging from the craft and descending upon the prison grounds. The unidentified assailant easily overcame the Helix security agents, leaving over a dozen dead. Medical records of the casualties reveal injuries and cellular degeneration matching other incidents involving the mercenary known as the Reaper, all but confirming the incursion as a Talon attack.

Helix officials have been unwilling to reveal whether or not there were additional escapees or items taken from the facility, but sources have indicated that it is likely that there were further security breaches in addition to Ogundimu.

After escaping from the facility, Helix lost track of Ogundimu until he resurfaced in Numbani, where he clashed with the newly introduced OR15 defense robots at the Adawe International Terminal, easily destroying them and reclaiming the Doomfist.

Questions have been raised about the effectiveness and methodology of Helix, which in recent years, has greatly increased its profile as the world’s security force. But after a number of high profile incidents, including the breach of a similarly top-secret facility in Egypt, those who have objected to the increased privatization of security following the shuttering of Overwatch will have been dismayed that Helix has requested, and been granted, additional funding by the UN to cope with rising threats.”

It seems like the Talon rescued Ogundimu and that he then captured the Doomfist(item?) and this has just happend and if you puzzle this story togther with the other clues we have gotten earlier it’s most likely that we will get more info this week and then a major reveal in one or two weeks so make sure to follow the blog because i will keep you up to date.

For info on Overwatch lootbox system update

Overwatch lootbox update

One of my favorite games right now is Overwatch, when you enter Overwatch you know you are in for a blast. Overwatch progression system is kind of built on lootboxes where you can get new skins, emotes or victory poses, you can get them by winning seven arcade matches per week or leveling up, but you could also buy them with you’re real money so that you can look fresh when you play. But Blizzard have been under fire the last days because if you want all the items from one of the events that overwatch offers you basically need to play so many hours that it would’t be pysically be possible or you could pay hundreds of dollars to even have a chance at getting it all. It’s possible that it wasn’t meant that you should be able to get it all but the community still wasn’t pleased, so now Blizzard has decided that:

The amount of duplicates will be decreased by a very large amount.

They have released the odds on getting the diffrent tiers of loot:

  1. At least one rare item per box.
  2. Epic item every 5.5 box.
  3. Ledgendary item every 13.5 box.
  4. The have made a deal with Twitch and Amazon that does so that you will get a “Golden lootbox” with a guarenteed ledgendary item if you link your Twitch Prime account to Overwatch. More info at:
  5. The amount of credits you get for duplicates is incresed.

This will hopefully make the Overwatch community happy with the lootbox system. I personally think this is a great change that could make the game feel more rewarding since you now won’t get the same stuff all the time.
